NFL TRADE DEADLINE WHO GOT BETTER?

Read Time:2 Minute, 6 Second

The action had gotten interesting over the past few weeks with a few big names finding new destinations, but Texans quarterback Deshaun Watson stayed put.

The Detroit Lions absolutely ZERO moves to improve their team.. The Rams continued their all in 2021 Super Bowl PLAN.. Lets take a look at some notable 2021 NFL Trade Deadline Moves.

Von Miller Traded To The LA Rams-

PER ESPN

The trade of linebacker Von Miller from the Denver Broncos to the Los Angeles Rams came together during a frenzied weekend — before Broncos general manager George Paton had a chance to tell Miller or the Broncos’ coaches, players and staff and, perhaps most difficult of all, his son, Beau.

Miller was the Broncos’ most decorated and longest-tenured player and is a sure bet for the team’s Ring of Fame. Paton, in his first year on the job, made the franchise-shaking move because he saw what he called a “win-win” opportunity. The Broncos received future draft capital in exchange for a 32-year-old player with an expiring contract. And Miller got the best situation possible as a reward for what he had done for the Broncos.

Paton said he continued to talk to Snead through Saturday. During a brief time when he did not have a phone pressed against his ear, Paton had a chance to see an affirmation, up close and in person, of what Miller means to the Broncos’ faithful.

“My son had a playoff football game, Beau, he’s 12 years old and he had a playoff game, so I show up to the game and Von Miller is at the game,” Paton said. “… He was there to see [linebackers coach] John Pagano’s son play Pop Warner football.

Carolina Panthers Acquire Stephen Gilmore-

When the Panthers and Jaguars got together on a deal that sent cornerback CJ Henderson, who was a 2020 first-round pick by Jacksonville, to Carolina. The Panthers weren’t done at corner, either. A little over a week later, they acquired Stephon Gilmore from the Patriots. The moves by Carolina were, at least in part, necessitated by injury, as trades often are. The Panthers lost their 2021 first-round pick, cornerback Jaycee Horn, to a hand injury in September.

Another one of the biggest deals was also set in motion by an injury. The Cardinals lost tight end Maxx Williams for the season on Oct. 10 against the 49ers; within the week, they had made a deal to get Zach Ertz from Philadelphia.
